Third Person Game Foundation Kit [ver 1.5 / 2.0] - PC [Unity]
(Clcik Me)
Unity Asset Store Page
My current project; a engine for Unity on which you could build a game on top of. This is meant to emulate the feel of the classic Nintendo 64 Zelda titles, but can be easily altered to become a platformer or whatever kind of third-person game the user likes. For the first release it will only have the character to move around with (including jumping off ledges, climbing up ledges, rolling, side-hopping, back-flipping, targeting targets and ledge grabbing with movement) as well as a smooth camera with orbiting functionality, free zooming in/out, a targeting mode and a first person mode (in which you can move around in, like GTA V next gen). It is near completion, and future versions will include combat, ladders, water mechanics, NPC mechanics and picking up/pushing around objects. Courage Ball - Android - 2014
The first game I ever released. It's a small arcade-style game, built with Unity, in which you roll around under some crushers. The crushers fall at random intervals so quick reflexes are key. You can stay in the safe zone on the left, however you only earn points when you leave the safe zone. In order to build up points quicker, you have to be as far away from the safe zone as possible, where it's far more likely that you'll get squashed! I'll always be proud of this one, as my first achievement to say 'look, I don't need University'!

Cloudy - PC - Prototype
Webplayer Demo
A 2D action-platformer that I worked on in the summer of '14. A humanoid cloud named 'Cloudy' is on a mission to rescue his girlfriend and to restore the powerful gems that breathe life through the cloudlands. Cloudy would acquire gem powers that can be used in gameplay; the green gem acts as a shield, the blue gem acts as a powerful rain droplet, the yellow gem creates a field of electricity, a pink gem that acts as a double-jump, and the red gem creates cloud-bombs that can be charged up and will explode upon impact. The level design is inspired by the classic Sonic titles as you can build your momentum by simply running down them. The game features many parallax-scrolling background and foreground layers to give a nice sense of depth. Unfortunately I lost interest in the project due to some technical issues, so it just sits peacefully on my laptop. I may one day revisit this game, but it will be drastically different if I do. |
Little Emerald -PC (and hopefully 3DS) - Prototype
Webplayer Demo
A 2D top-down adventure that I worked on in the later months of '14. The story of this game was being working on by my partner as this game idea was all hers. It features a girl, Emerald, who is a descendant of the Gods, who forged beings out of gems to protect the land beneath, Lyra. Emerald learns the meaning of her existence when her sisters are in danger from the children of the Gods' rivals. The art style of the game is heavily inspired by Zelda: Minish Cap, which was the basis for this game. Only the basic movement and collisions were implemented, and the rest was just drawn on paper. It was a very ambitious project for its time which is why I put it aside. I did implement the different layers of height, allowing Emerald to jump down to different levels; I had also implemented swimming, climbing, and falling down pits and respawning. I will definitely revisit this game in the future and bring it to life. |
